880K gives you a better cooler out of the box and I vote for a RX 460 if you find that for same price! (not to sure about that PSU tough you should look it up) o3o

I would change the PSU because 750 W are more than needed and it's a bit overpriced for the value. Is it really impossible with your budget to get a decent Intel CPU? If you want i could try to make an Intel based rig

You can get an i3 and rx 470 for that budget, you're just spending too much on some things.

Get OS from reddit for $20-30.

That's way better: the i3 could be a little tight for futureproofing, but it's already better than the Athlon, that's for sure!

What u gonna do with your PC? Asume gaming? Just gonna give some ideas and thoughts, that might also be a good thing to consider down the road.

 

Anyway, PSU is fine, but you can try to find a lower wattage what might save you some money aswell. You don't need that much watts. If you plan to stay in custom building PC I would sugest that you pick a decent PSU of any reputable brands. You can transfer this along many builds and upgrades if you have a correct one ( mines 8+ years orso and still in good shape). For a high end system in the  future a 500-650 watt supply is more then enough these days. A (semi) modulair PSU is always a good idea that I personally always prefer for the ease of life and clean looks.

 

You own games on optical format? If not you can save that money on the optical drive, since it is not required for anything besides games and movies.

 

For storage: allthough extra cost with less storage space, would still suggest a SSD for the main drive. Adding a HDD later is no biggie. I suggest a Samsung 750 Evo with 250GB. Only about 20$ more, but far better choice I say.

 

RAM is fine. 8GB can always be expanded to 16 GB, but with some gaming and normal usage 8 GB is plenty for now.

 

Now the rest of the system: Here I find a trade off. Mobo and CPU are fine, is a very decent CPU to start with for gaming in combi with a GPU. But would advise to spend a bit more on a even better GPU. The 750Ti is a good budget card, but think there are more powerfull solutions out there that might still fit in your budget? If not, you can still go this way and save up for a better card in a few years.

Here is a better computer build. The AMD X4 845 processor is of new architecture than the AMD X4 860 and it's more energy efficient.
