Hey guys. First real post on the linustechtips forums.

Anyways, I am looking to upgrade my PC's Motherboard, CPU, and ram. I already bought a 650 watt power supply and a gtx 1070. I'm wondering if what I'm looking at will work well together with my 1070.

Links to newegg.

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132579R

(My current board is actually bigger than this so it will fit in my case)

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117563

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104531

I am looking to play GTA V (Mid to High settings ~60fps or more)

Also, if you guys know of a better deal elsewhere let me know.

Thanks!

Is this where I put my signature?

The motherboard will only take DDR3/DDR3L RAM. You'll need to change it to a motherboard that accepts DDR4 RAM.

around $350 give or take $25. but savings are always welcome

That's a tight budget. I'd save up a little bit more

i5 6600k is a good overclockable chip

this acus board https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16813132567&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3938566

and some ddr4-2400 ram

edit: well even the chip you pointed out at the top is decent.

but mobos that are cheep are either old or just cheaply made and have less features

Oh snap. it is. says in the checklist its ddr4 2133 support, but the pic the specifications say ddr3.
