Looking for a School Laptop

So I just started the new school year, but I don't have a laptop with windows on it, which i need for microsoft word, and other school stuff. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for a good budget laptop, around $700 or so. It needs to be windows and good enough that I can use it at home to do some casual gaming. The battery life should at least be 6 hours and with a pretty good processor. I'm not going to be plugging anything into it other than a wireless mouse. Suggestions?

This one looks good. My only complaint would be the dual core CPU, but it does have a dedicated 950m GPU, so you should be able to do some light gaming on it.

It also has a shitty TN display, poor build quality and the CPU is slower than a desktop i3. Not to mention the horrible customer support. That laptop is NOT good.

Well it is a start...

If you want a better quality laptop that is more on the higher end of the budget this MSI one is not bad.

That one is mostly decent - won't overheat, won't damage his eyes or break apart. Though the battery life is less than stellar.

Out of curiosity what would you recommend Don_Svetilo?

Probably the 7559 - about 7 hours of battery, decent build, good cooling, okay IPS display.

It's not really a good machine. Feel free to ask @Dackzy @D2ultima or @Pendragon  - for a bit more - the 7559 is a much better option with near double the performance

I honestly don't care too much what I get, as long as I can get some pretty good performance out of something around $700. I'll look into the 7559

The i5 6200U is a low-power dual-core CPU. It's less powerful than a current gen desktop i3. In contrast - the i5 6300HQ is a quad-core 45W chip which delivers performance close to a desktop i5

Any CPU ending in "U" is a ULV (meaning low-power dual-core)

Well - this is something you may want to know

"U" chips are ULV as already mentioned
"M" chips are socketed and upgradeable
"H" chips are soldered onto the board
"Q" chips are quad-cores
"X" chips are extreme editions

This is a very dumb-downed version of @D2ultima 's excellent guide on the matter.
