So im going to be doing a new build soon and i wanted to do custom length cables. So, now, the question : will this wire work? : http://www.delcity.net/store/18-Gauge/p_181398.h_181558.t_1

Just wondering cause its soooo much cheaper than buying it from.. lets say.. Performance PC's.

Any ideas?

Jake.

do you just use the one type of wire, no specific wires for different voltages and such.

I'm looking to do this as well but will probably just cut the ones it comes with shorter.

Well, it depends on your power supply, it could be 18AWG Or 22 or 26 Just depends, im not sure what gauge fans are yet... but yes, i beleave it is all one wire type. just mesure your power supply wires that you have right now and see.

Here is some wire gauges : http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=60_156&zenid=8875e88a60b02cef7c4cb012c791536b

And some Pins (make sure to buy male and female ;D) : http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=60_174

Lastly! I really am liking lutro's videos on sleeving and all this stuff very helpful : http://www.youtube.com/user/lutro0

He also has his own store for all this stuff, i'd recommend checking it out.

thanks I'm most likely going to use a silverstone 450w gold sfx psu and this would be a lot cheaper considering the wire runs are going to be insanely small.

I would also need the connector block where the wire's pins connect or can these be removed from the psu cables or should I buy them for warrant sake?

Watch some of lutro0's videos he explains all most every thing, taught me all i need to know..

But you can use the stock psu blocks, you just need to buy the pin remover (whitch you;ll need any ways if you want to sleeve the stock cables.
