So i have a z170a m5 msi gaming motherboard and am wondering if it has wireless connection options becuase its only giving me a ethernet option and wondering if it has a wireless option

Sorry but the motherboard you have does not support WiFi by itself. You'll need to buy a USB WiFi dongle. NOTE: Do not buy a PCI-E card, as they waste your lanes.

No it doesn't. There are lots of 20-30$ USB 3.0 dongles on newegg though. Nothing fancy, but they work.

It first depends on what you need and what your config supports.

 

Do you have or plan on getting wifi AC?

What about 5Ghz?

3x3 AC dongles are out there but those are way more expensive.

If you can, wait for a good product on sale. Make sure it is USB 3 and you should be golden. Read reviews of product ofc.
