1. Budget & Location

I was thinking 10k NOK as maximum.

Location is Norway.

2. Aim

Some gaming, some computer science work.

3. Monitors

I plan on running 2 monitors.

Packard bell Viseo 243D is what I am using atm.

4. Peripherals

No peripherals needed!

5. Why are you upgrading?

Because my system is getting old. It was built on a budget 2 years ago.

Here's a list of the parts I have:

Intel Pentium G3258 3M Cache, 3.20 GHz
MK ASRock Z97M Anniversary
Super Flower Golden Green HX 600W 120mm Fan 80+ Gold ATX
DDR3-DIMM2133 Team Zeus 2x4GB DDR3 2133MHz Blue Heatsink
MSI GeForce GTX 760 GAMING OC TwinFrozr IV 2GB DDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCIe
Tower Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 Tower Black No PSU mATX

Cooling-CPU Cooler Master Hyper 412S

HDD-SSD Crucial MX100 256GB SSD R:550/W:330 2.5" 7mm SATA-3

Is anything worth keeping?

Thanks in advance!

Just for others, 10,000 NOK is about 1223.14 USD FYI

Are you going for all new parts, or will be looking second hand as well?

Thank you!
I should have added that myself.

Preferably new parts, but I haven't ruled out second hand.

There isn't a PCPartPicker for Norway, You fine with German PCPaartpicker or do you have a similar thing in Norway.

German would probably be fine.

Unless you could use prisjakt.no when you search for parts. It functions as pcpartpicker, if I'm not mistaken.

Have you considered just getting an i5-4690K and a better gpu, perhaps a GTX 1070?

I have thought about something like that, but I do want to be able to run 1151 or similar sockets, utilizing ddr4 ram.

Might make it harder to figure out, but I'd rather have something I'm able to easily upgrade again later.

Regardless of what you do, you will be faced with exactly the same decision the next time. LGA-1151 and DDR4 is hot right now, in 2 years time, it will old and out of date. There will be something else that is much better.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
