how to test the battery life of a iPhone 5c or 4s to tell if it get old and need repace

Does it last a day when you use it as you normally would?

If yes: Replace if you still don't like it, but the battery is still fine.

If no: Replace because the battery doesn't last as long as needed.

It's still subjective. If your phone's battery runs out before the end of the day (Maybe base it on the most busy day), then maybe you need to consider replacing the phone. If you think that your phone isn't saying the correct percentage, then run it to 0% then charge to 100% to recalibrate the battery.

If you still want a proper test, then you might want to try this out: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/battery-life-check-internal/id1080930585?mt=8

I just found it, so I can't guarantee any accuracy or truth in what it reports. The reviews look good though.

Personally I would save up a bit more money and get a Moto G3 or G4. On that Blu phone, the 8GB storage and 1GB RAM is really going to limit what you can have on it, and how fast it runs.

Actually, looking deeper into that phone, the storage can probably be bumped up with a micro SD card formatted as internal storage by Android. The performance can't really be improved though.

If you want a new phone now, and don't want to save up a bit more, then that Blu phone should be ok.

I would avoid Windows phone, because it's a dying breed and not many app manufacturers will make apps for it any more.

If you got an iPhone, you'd need to get an iPhone 6S or SE, and those are both out of your price range. (Tech moves fast so the iPhone 5C which would be in your price range is not really going to last much longer)

I would go with Android because they have the best budget offerings that are still supported by app makers. Blu make the super budget phones, then go look at Lenovo's offerings with the Moto G3 and G4 which should be $150-$250, then look at Oneplus and ZTE at around the $300 range. (I know this is out of your price range, but it's just to get an idea of what's available)

If they have a 16GB 2GB RAM ram option for that phone on Amazon's low cost ad-supported phone thingy, then I'd definitely go for that because there will be a very noticeable difference.

I would assume that means you get 19% less battery than a brand new phone, but I don't know how good or bad that is. It's still down to if it lasts a whole day under your personal usage.

Maybe try to find some YouTube videos, or just read the Amazon reviews (They tend to be pretty accurate). The next step up would be the Moto G3 or G4 and they're both covered well by reviews on YouTube.

Ok. I was saying that the iPhone 5C (And 4S) is likely to need replacing within the next year or two because technology will move on, apps will get more demanding, and the phone won't be able to keep up. If the battery is no longer lasting a day when you use it, then you should either replace the battery or replace the phone.

I've never seen a virus on an Android phone. As long as you're downloading apps from the Google Play Store, and not installing those sketchy "Phone boost and clean" apps, then it should be as secure as any iPhone.

The Amazon app store should be fine, but personally I would definitely stick to the Google Play store because Google aren't trying to sell things to you left right and centre.

By clean apps I meant those antivirus and ram cleaner apps. You don't need any of these apps because they just slow your phone down and you're incredibly unlikely to get a virus of any description with or without them.

Personally I'd go for the Blu R1 HD because it's not too big (going to 5.5 inches from an iphone 5C is a massive step) and it is already running the latest version of Android.

However, if you do want the bigger one, it has the reversible USB Type C which is similar to the lightning port on the iPhone.
