PS4 for this PC?

DogeOfTech

So I have an opportunity to trade my PS4 (with controllers and games) for the following build. Now I already have a build that is better than this one, but I was wondering if it would worth it to do the trade and then just buy another PS4 if I want another one. So should I do the trade and then just scrap the PC and sell the parts? The PC does work and it comes with keyboard and mouse.

It would depend on how many games (and what they are) that you'd be including with your PS4.

My first reaction is to say don't trade. The only thing that looks worthwhile in that PC is the logic board and CPU combo. Selling it (as parts or whole) probably wouldn't leave you with as much profit that would be worth the time and trouble.

I do only have FO4 and MGSV for it, but I totally agree, the mobo+cpu are the only good things on it, well, the PSU is ok too in my opinion

That's what I was thinking, I'd give the 660 to my partner, since they only have a 470(?).

Why build from scratch an old computer like that?
Do you just want the K cpu?
Get the RX not the GTX

Why not build a Skylake?

@Canada EH: "Now I already have a build that is better than this one..." But I'd totally agree, this is just like a, should-I-do-this-for-profit kind of thing. The build would not be used by me, if even used at all

@Fraxous: You have been not minded

Could you not sell the PS4 and get a better part for your current PC? Is the 2nd PC needed or are you just wanting to trade it then sell the PC/parts?

@alboon The second PC isnt needed, I was planning on doing the trade, selling the PC, buying a new PS4, and then using the extra money for something for my current build. It's a really long and weird process I know

You would have trouble selling some of those parts as they are slowly becoming more obsolete as better parts come out for cheaper. If you already have a better rig then I would keep the PS4 and not bother with the hassle of trying to sell all the parts.

Stock coolers - The sound of bare minimum

quite late to the party due to forum issues...

this is a very good deal.. except for one bit:

as long as the controllers are in good quality they're basicly static value, and console games actually keep value very well as well, combination of that pushes me much more towards the "no" side of things.

Oh yeah I know, thankfully they're back and stable.

I've also decided not to go with the trade, and your new opinion offered a good insight, so thank you!
