What do I buy

Hello, I don't know if I'm posting this in the correct section but I have a question. I have a budget of $100 but I don't want to spend that much(but I can if need be). I'm wondering what can I buy to make my PC better at capturing my gameplay. I already game on a potato but what can I buy/replace on my PC that lets me capture gameplay without frame loss. I lose a lot of frames.. most of my captures end up being 1 frame (like a photo with sound) or a very poor quality capture. Do game capture cards take on stress when recording or do I need to increase my specs.

 

**I use OBS to record as of now but I can buy an external capture card if need be.

Well you're on a laptop so you would likely need to get an external capture card. Unfortunately, they are greater than 100$ from my quick search.

Funny how you call this a laptop. Its worse than a laptop. Its like a tablet that wanted to be a PC. I have $150 on me but I feel like I would be getting the same performance building a $150 build.

Your Laptop... tablet.. potato... or whatever you kids call them these days... has no dedicated graphics card from what I can tell and that is why whenever you record game play you have zero frames. your CPU usage is likely at 95-100% usage the whole time. You would be better off saving up money, around 5 or 600$ and build a proper lower end gaming desktop tower instead of purchasing a capture card that will only help slightly.

When I call it a tablet I legit mean it. Some games try to hit me with "We don't support mobile". It was also designed to be a "mobile" tablet even tho its huge asf.

The PC legit has no bios as well.

You are going to need to save up and buy a proper desktop. Sounds like your manufacture likely locked the BIOS from you. Every PC will need a BIOS, without it it would not function.
