So I have a R9 380 and I want to get a new graphics card for 4k im thinking about the r9 390x. Is it possible to crossfire the r9 380 with the r9 390x?

Nope. You're better off selling your 380 and getting a 1080 or whatever (GTX 1070 is not really good enough to run everything at 4K max settings at 60fps pretty sure)
