laptop and such

my uncle is looking for a lap top for around $600 + or - 100 or so.

he would use it for internet mostly with some light computing.
Would like it to have a ssd.
I dont keep up with laptops so looking for someone who knows whats out there to tell me whats good!

some things he said he would like, but not needed are a touch screen, one of those detachable screens to use as a tablet, and about 1tb of storage, but willing to go with ssd only and buy an external hdd.

About as good as it gets, but i will check some more. And he could use the HDD already in side and use it has a external drive when he have put in a SSD.

Getting something with decent performance in that price range is hard enough as it is, and if you want a ssd and a touch screen then you wanna spend a little more. The one I found have a ssd which surprised me and the specs aren't half bad, however its a 13" and I can't imagine this laptop is going to stand the test of time for longer then 2 years max. The CPU, its a quad core at 1.4ghz which should do for your uncle, It has a dedicated GPU (Its not intigrated in the cpu) however it doesn't have ram itself meaning its going to borrow from the 4gb of 1066mhz ram installed in the computer. Then again, I don't know what you mean as light computing so I don't really know if this is the right one, I just clicked on the first and best I saw. And I only checked the first website that came into mind.
