Amazon AWS E2 and Win Server 2012

Hi all!

 

I need help!

few days back for my project i desided to try free Virtual Server from Amazon before i can use full potential of AWS.

System specs:

xeon X5-2670v2 - one core

1gb of ram

30gb hdd

Microsoft Server 2012R2 Base (it consumes 22gigs on my drive - yep, its Microsoft!)

And its full glory works through RDP connection 

 

For my project i need each new standart User (not admin) got only 2gb of hdd and can not have ability to see other folders and drives

i got part with new user, i got part with virtual drive (its now D:\ drive), but i cannot hide C:\ from standart user. I know i can do thatt through Group Policy, but apparently Administrator cannot use GPO due whole system is virtual

So if i may ask for help or work around. Or maby switch to another cloud hosting or even try linux for all of sakes. Any help will be appreciated)

Id use a quota, instead or partitons and just use their home folders

You can do that just fine. I just did that on one of my vms
