Gigabyte g1 1070 problem

Hello

I just got my brand new gigabyte 1070 and installed it right away. After firing up the computer the GPUs leds and fans turned right on like they are supposed to. No warning lights and sounds. Still, i get no picture from the graphics card. My main screen isnt getting any signal. Tried to instal drivers to solve this problem, but the nvidia told me that it found no suitable hardware. After this, I checked device manager and bios and there were no sign of the card.

I have tried DDU. I was running on my integrated up to this. The only existing problem related to this was windows not up to date. My windows 10 is version 1607 so i dont think thats the problem.

At the moment I have one of my screens plugged into mobo so I am able to write.

Any ideas what could be wrong or something I have missed or done wrong?

and you've installed the right drivers for the right card?
Boot into safemode, reinstall drivers, reboot into normal, see if its still dead?
And you deffo have enough power going to the card right?, power cords are connected properly to the gpu, cables arenet loose, psu is turned on etc?

So I tried the safeboot instal option which failed. Then I swapped the card to the secondary PCI-E slot and now its working. I can finally start to instal drivers.

Does this instantly mean that my slot 1 PCI-E slot is broke? Can there be some option which I have missed. Is there any downside for running the card in the secondary slot?
