It's good (i.e. a fair price). A 1230v2 is still a very capable CPU. 

 

I got myself a 1230v2+Supermicro X9scm-f board+32GB ECC for $350 a few months ago.

Very good deal. It's basically an i7 (several differences but I won't go into those) and it'd be a good upgrade to the i5-2400.
