Sim Card Questions

So here is my issue, I have ordered the BLU Studio X8 HD on Amazon(link: https://www.amazon.ca/BLU-Studio-Unlocked-Packaging-Compatible/dp/B01FS0AAZG/ref=sr_1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1472512295&sr=1-4 ) and I have also bought the $100 top-up from 7/11 which they have a deal(link: http://www.speakout7eleven.ca/prepaid-phones-promotions/free-sim-card ) which ends on August 31st where they also include a sim card and a $25 bonus if you buy before the deadline(but the $25 bonus must be activated online before the deadline). The Amazon order will arrive approximately on Sept. 7, which is well over the deadline, so I would not receive the $25 bonus. To activate the sim card(and to receive the $25 bonus), I need a phone IMEI, and my phone hasn't arrived yet, so I don't know the IMEI. Lucky for me, my friend has a Moto E, and would happily lend it to me to activate the phone. His phone is unlocked, and his current carrier is Public Mobile, his sim slot is micro. However, I've heard that on Amazon, my sim size for my phone is a standard sized sim, meaning that I cannot put my sim into his phone and put it back into mine. So would there be any problems with me using his IMEI to activate my sim card(but the sim card will never touch his phone and will be for mine), or should I just let that sweet-tasty $25 bonus go?

There are adapters that allow you to change size of your Sim card. Just an example

I know that there are adapters available, but all I'm looking for is to activate a sim card on 7/11 Speakout without a phone, but with a friend's phone. However, I would need to use the sim on my phone once I get it.

You need to wait. I think activation requires on the same phone. But some people say as long as phone is unlocked then you can put any sim card on it. Depends on the sim card. Try asking the sim provider

7/11 doesn't really have the best forum or customer service, but I guess for now I'm just going to have to wait.

 

Also, I'm going to sleep right now, so I will probably answer your next replies the following morning or afternoon.
