Wait so let me just clarify, you installed a second 1080 and enabled SLI. Then when you go into a game, it reads GPU 2 as being your primary gpu and being hotter? But surely both cards will be near enough the same temp and definitely have the same load if the game has an SLI profile with decent scaling ?

yeah i installed the seccond one and it thinks its plugged into gpu 2 when its plugged into one so its giving me readouts for gpu 1 but in place of gpu2 I know it sounds confusing heres a picture

The picture doesn't seem to work. And by the way what thinks it's plugged into 2? Your monitor? Surely if SLI is enabled it won't be doing that as then they both act as 1 GPU (in games that is), and it really doesn't matter at that point where your monitor is plugged in. Both cards should have near enough the same readings. I'm a tad confused haha.
