Hey guys,

I just installed SpeedFan and I'm trying to set it up to optimize my case fans utilization. The only thing I don't understand is when I go in Advanced, and then I choose Nuvoton NCT etc etc, I can't figure out what value I should assign to each PWM mode. Here are the options I get:

- Manual

- Thermal Cruise

- Speed Cruise

- Smart Fan IV

- A whole bunch of DO NOT USE!

Basically it seems as if I got it all working as I wanted to, except the fans don't do what the software tries and tell them to do: in Readings tab, percentages are OK, but the fans keep using the setting I set in the BIOS. I don't have a fan controller, but it is not needed right?

PC specs:

Windows 10 Pro

i5 6600K

MSI R9 390 Gaming 8G

Arctic Xtreme Freezer Rev. 2

AsRock Z170 Pro4

Corsair CX750

Aerocool Aero 800

1x Noctua NF-A14 FLX

2x Corsair SP120

2x Aerocool fans that came with the case (both of them connected via Molex, no 3 pin connectors left)

set it to Manual. this will allow you to change the fan speed percentages on the main screen. no clue what the others do, though

however i'm not sure if you can control your fans via software, as they're connected via Molex and not 3 or 4-pin (the latter offering greater control due to the PWM signal).
