Hi,

iam planing to buy a "Cougar QBX mini ITX" with a Gigabyte "GA-Z170N-WIFI" Mainboard. This Mainboard can control two fans with pwn. First is the cpu fan an then a case fan. The case supports up to 7 additional fans. How would you guys setup this? I am looking for a pwn 8 Port hub?

Regards

Tsx

I would honestly just go with two fans -- two in the bottom as intakes and one in the top as exhaust. Even at 50% speeds that will probably be enough airflow for you.

Just for understanding. The question was how to setup multiple fans with pwn. I build a lot of systems but never use a miniitx system.

This is my first one and beacause their is no 3,5" slot for a Controller like this "http://geizhals.de/scythe-kaze-master-flat-ii-km08-bk-a1107965.html?hloc=de".

So i think i need a pwm controller like one of the three you posted. I think the Silverstone is good for this project. Technical i plug all pwn fans on this controller, plug the controller in the mainboard an power it with an extra 12v. So all fans will have the same speed ? For the 120mm this is ok but for the 80 and 92mm i think this is not the best. Or could i use software or the bios to control each fan sepearte?

How much fans i will use, dont know actually. But i think the 2 in the bottom are a must have because of the grafics card they will blow out. The Frontfan is the only one to get fresh air in the case without any specific cooling reason. The side cooler will push fresh air in the case direktly to the cpu and the rear and top will blow it out.

In my optionon this sounds great with only three fans i think this the cpu or the gpu will get hot =).

The case doesn't come with an 80mm fan (just a single 90mm), and honestly, I would probably say don't even bother with it since it will probably be noisy/shitty anyway (it will also more than likely be a 3-pin fan anyway). They would all be run at the same speed though.

The front (80mm) fan and the side fan will be largely irrelevant. Just the two on the bottom should provide more than enough air for the entire system.
