About 6 months ago i bought the Asus VG248QE 144hz monitor and I've noticed that there were thin white horizontal lines in the around the middle of the screen when i change the Hz to 120 or 144 when i put it on 60Hz the lines disappear

I have the same near the bottom of my screen. I don't really notice it unless I specifically look for it though. From what I've gathered it appears to be an issue with the monitor itself and there's little to none you can do about it. Maybe try the suggestions mentioned here, otherwise you could try contacting customer support if you're really bothered by it.
