I think I've finalized my parts list, but wanted to make one more post before I get out the credit card and start ordering. This is my second Build, which is going to be a smaller formfactor so it's more mobile. Mainly used for light gaming, Media playing and 2D drawing, in Photoshop. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! If everything goes well I'll start ordering tomorrow morning.

Looks like the GPU is missing it's price on there, B&H has it for around $278 so the total is around $1200.

Looks like a pretty solid build, however I'd highly suggest getting either a single 8GB dimm or two 8GB dimms instead of 2x4GB, that way you can expand to 16GB in the future, or you could even throw a 16GB dimm in there so you could upgrade to 32GB in the future.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Do you plan on gaming in 1440p on that monitor?

Light gaming at 1440p will be fine on a 1060, if they're wanting to play a graphically intensive game, then they can just set it to 1080p or drop some settings down a little bit until playable.

PSU could do better, but not strictly speaking

SFX form factor power supplies are quite limited in options, the one provided with the node 202 is pretty decent compared to the others that are available.

Using an Old PSU with that or you forgot to list it?

The case actually has a built in 450w power, pretty neat.

Different HDD though Hitachi will work. Seagate or WD Blue for example

From the sources I read, it seemed Hitachi had the lowest failure rates compared to Seagate or WD.

This is a great idea, switching to a single 8gb so i can keep it open for upgrading to 16. I can't imagine myself using 32, though. Thanks!

Can you get the 6600? I think it's only a few more dollars?

I would replace the 850 EVO with an A-Data SP 550 240GB or SanDisk 256GB since they cost less and perform similarly.

Do you have Windows?

The built in PSU is garbage, the SF is a phenominal PSU and the only one worth considering in the SFX form factor category, bar none.

Nope, Corsair SF is the only SFX PSU that anyone should look at until Silverstone can step it up and make a quiet unit that is a little better performing.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Thanks for filling me in, I already updated it in my build. I definitely don't want to damage any of my components.
