What PSU is it and why do you think your BIOS is the problem?

The thing is, the i5 should be supported from a certain BIOS onwards (at least according to Asus it didn't stopped being supported). The PSU should be enough, especially without a dedicated GPU.

Basically can i revert back to an older bios?

I'm not sure it will let you flash an older BIOS that the one installed, maybe it will, but can you get one?
