PC Upgrade Decision

Hey,

first of all, i´m from germany so sorry for my bad english 

 

Iám planing on upgrading my Rig. 

Heres my situation

 

RIG: I7 3770 - GTX 970 - Mainboard (came out of an medion PC) MS-7797 - 8gb DDR3 - 3TB HDD - 256gb Samsung 850 PRO - 630W PSU (BQT PurePower L8) - ODD - Cryorig H7 Cooler - Corsair Obsidian 750d

 

Parts laying around:  gtx 660 - 1 TB HDD 

 

 

MY PLANS

 

buying a i7 6700k and a Asus Maximus VIII Fomula + 16gb ddr4. -> Upgrading my RIG AND building a new pc with the parts laying around and buying a case for it -> Buying a ZTE AXON 7

 

OR 

 

Selling my Computer and build a completely new one at a 1800€ Range (I saven also about 1000€)

 

OR

 

selling my PC and buying a few parts to build a 600€ PC for selling

 

OR 

 

Selling my gtx 970 and buying a 1080

 

OR 

 

Selling my 970 and a 24 inch display and getting a 4k display and a 1070

 

Like i Said i have an extra 1000 € (1123 $) to spend. BTW The Smartphone Variant ( Variant 1 ) is only about having it earlier. And the mainboard is green so the whole rig looks horrible... thats why im planning to get a new base. and the CPU is still worth quite a bit of money so it would be better to sell it now in a 500-600€ rig or selling my rig for 750-800€

1080p. its a Samsung S24D340 and a Samsung S27E500C

You don't really NEED to upgrade anything, but if you're adamant, upgrade your GPU. Just my 2 cents

i would sell everything but your ssd hdd and your PSU and buy new parts

The website is having werid lag issues after update. Anyways Your I7 there is still very good and can handle a GTX 1080. The rest is your rig is still fairly powerful and modern. I would recommend a GTX 1080 and getting a 1440p 144hz G-Synch display as the 1070 and 1080 are overkill for 1080p

I would either do nothing because that rig is sufficent for 1080p

 

or 

 

get a 4k monitor and 1070

on the one side, it would be cool to have a 1080 and a nice screen but on the other side its realy important for me that the pc looks good....
But theres also the problem that i probably wont get enough money out if i sell my rig

I think i´ll wait with a GPU upgrade for Volta (Q4 2017)
