hi

i hope someone can help with this issue i got right here.

the following setup is being used.

an simple pc with 1 hdd, with windows installed.

after i installed windows and installed all neccersary stuff i hooked up an other hdd wich is filled with files i do need to keep.

but here is the following problem

if i boot on the main harddrive windows doesnt see the other hdd at all!

but if i boot from my other hdd wich still has windows on it, it does see the main drive.

and also it ignored the boot order

main drive is an toshiba

and the secondary is a WDC

boot order is set as following: toshiba -> WDC -> DVD

but if the WDC is IN the boot order it ignored the order and boot straight from the WDC

i hope someone knows how to solve this. and sorry for my bad grammer, english is my best of languages i speak

things i did try:

remove the WDC out of the boot order completely, does boot from toshiba but doesnt see the WDC in windows at all.

the AHCI or IDE modes are not the problem else my WDC wouldnt boot at all too.
