Hi guys, I am trying to build a new gaming pc for my college and this is my first time building one so I need some help to double check my build. All suggestions are welcome :)

 

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (should i get 1x8GB or 2x4GB? what are the differences?)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

              SAMSUNG 850 PRO 2.5" 256GB SATA III 3-D Vertical Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7KE256BW

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card

Case: NZXT Phantom 240 ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: Corsair CSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

Monitor: Asus VX248H 24.0" 60Hz Monitor x2

i personally dont like the case other wise all good,

If you are only planning on gaming the 6600K is more than enough.

2x4GB memory looks better if you have a window (which you have).

Does this case even have place for a optical drive? Because it doesnt look like it has

Definitly a better PSU than that.
