HD558 vs Dt990?

558 and DT990 are normally in quite a different price bracket IRC.

 

I love my 558s, but I don't really like heavy base at all, so...

In Sweden they are about the same, by the 990 I mean the 990 pro 250 ohm if that means anyhing, it is at least the same price

Yeah I guess if you wanted price parity you'd be looking at the HD598 over the 558... though I don't know if, in Sweden, they are the same price.

 

But you sorta nailed the key difference. Do you want the heavy bass/treble of the 990 or do you want more flat range? That's totally personal preference :) They're both excellent in terms of build quality, brand, etc.
