ISO Windows Update

Hi,

I've a Firewalled internet connection (Fortiguard web filter), which block my Steam, Microsoft services.

Hence I can't update my Windows PC through Windows, So I'm downloading the ISO file of new Anniversary update and will install it with VHD/DVD/USB.

Is it a good idea to do this? please suggest.
