Help my friend....

Okay, so my friend saw me with my HTC One for a couple of months now.

 

The guy has the first Iphone so naturally he wants a new phone now.

 

 

Thing is, he still isn't classified as a Dutch,. (Polish passport, but lived here most of his life basically since he was a kid)

 

 

 

Therefore he can't have a contract from any company.

 

 

I told him to get a Nexus 5 since it is equal or better to the HTC One in specs, he wants aluminium though, but he is strongly thinking about the Nexus 5 mainly because it's 300 euro's (expected price) and for those specs it's downright incredible for the price.

 

 

What would you recommend he does?

 

He could get a contract but he would have to invest a lot of money and a years time to gain the nationality. (he is studying just fine in college though and everything)

 

The thing is, he wants internet. I told him there is still the option having a cheap plan for his prepaid device. He wants something like 2GB.

Well if you're willing to take on the responsibility, you can take a contract under your name and let him use the phone.

That is actually pretty smart...... but not sure if I want to do that.

 

Besides, I currently have a contract myself so not sure if that's allowed. (sure he would pay me back but not sure if it's allowed)

get a contract with a different provider that has the phone he wants, have him pay you for the bill. I wouldn't do that myself because it's easy to get shafted like that.

True but this is a good friend though. :P Like one of those you have forever and you never grow apart. He would never betray my trust.
