Both CPU's are 2 cores 4 threads, both have basically a half terabyte of storage, you have double the ram on the second one, I dunno about the screen on the first.

it depends on the tasks you do? Do you need a lot of RAM? What will this computer be used for.

MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 - (5700HQ : 970M : 16gb RAM : 17.3" : Win10 : 1TB HDD : Razer Anansi : Some mouse) - hooked up to a 34UM58-P (WFHD) in dual screen

iPad Air 2 (for school)

iPhone 6

Xbox One Forza 6 Limited Edition Blue

For basic use..i am concerned most about the CPU and the difference between HD and FHD..im not a gamer so the 4Gb RAM is adequate for me!

The CPU's appear almost the same basically. Same about of cores, threads, base clock, TDP, graphics, graphics speed, etc. so I wouldn't worry about going for the cheaper CPU one. However, the FHD screen would look a lot better than HD, imo. The difference is pretty big and it would look a lot better I would think.
