Hey guys, whats up?
So a few weeks ago I made a post here in the LTT forum about a issue in my PC, link is here

, so the problem was that from time to time everything stopped working  except for things like a youtube video that had already loaded, or a ongoing CsGo match, but i could not open anything new or a new tab or anything, like the notepad or whatever. So in that thread they told me to do a fresh install on   W10, and i still have the same problem (if i manually turn off the computer it comes back to normal). What do you guys think? Is it hardware issue? Thanks a lot!

There is a known issue with Win 10 where machines with an SSD as a boot drive that have a second drive for storing programs and user data have random freezes, I'm stuck with it. After a minute or so it will get back to normal, anything running already keeps running, but can;' do anything else until it sorts itself out.

The fact that the same thing happened after fresh install points toward hardware, but your rig's symptoms seem like more of a software issue honestly. Perhaps firmware or drivers issue?

Before doing the fresh install I ran a program to check the driver and it showed nothing wrong :(

I updated everything as far as I know

After failure happens reboot and then type Event Log into search and open event's log. There should be an error or maybe critical event in the log. Search for error code returned and check what it means. If you have trouble, post it here I'll try to help.

Will wait for the error and do that, thanks a lot!

So, finally it happend again, and i opened the event log and there was a lot of things in the error tab, and only 1 in the Critical Error (i dont know if it is critical error in English), and that error is Kernel Power, number 41. Do you guys know anything?

Essentially this means that your OS couldn't close properly. But that's most likely caused by hard reset you did to get it to work again. The error code which is the source of your problem is likely the one just before it (unless it's not recorded in event log at all which is possible). To verify if that is the case look at timestamps.

Can you dig a bit further into those event logs to see if there's any entries related to storahci with entries that it reset commands were sent to certain RAID devices.

If there are entries, then I suggest that you find windows 10 capable chipset drivers for the system (if you can't find them from the manufacturer then google the motherboard/device and include drivers in the search term) and install them as that might fix the problem (I had a similar issue with lock ups and after finding out that the MS default driver was likely to be the cause I obtained the latest possible chpiset drivers and it does appear to have fixed it, but I haven't fully allowed enough time to confirm this).

There's many issues with Windows 10. I'm having some instability due to the Anniversary update breaking AMD Overdrive, the driver is crashing, taking the OS with it, may ditch it. Swap a legitimately licensed Win 10 for a dodgy Win 7 install, rather take the risk than have this unstable system, it's a joke and Microsoft's solution to the problems is even worse.

Thanks and sorry for taking so long to reply, but i was trying to see if the error would keep happening. So i think it is fixed, but im not sure, im 3 or 4 days without any problems, all i did was go into the event log and search for the problem right before the error occour, google it and fix it. But about the drivers, the z87Sabertooth looks like it vanished from the asus website, but i will search for drivers on google, ty very much and sorry for taking so long!
