Jailbreak ps3 question

Im thinking about jailbreaking my ps3 but from what ive understood its almost a guarantee ban from psn. I dont play games online but i do use it to watch netflix. Would this still possibly get me banned from psn?

If you jailbreak it and go online right away yes, you will be banned. However there are ways around it. Been a while since I used ps3, but there is a bit of code that tells psn you're running the wrong firmware/update. With a jailbroken system you have access to this code and can change it to one that psn sees as legit.

 

If you are banned you can also unban yourself. This involves changing the systems id. Takes some time to figure out, but check the multiple ps3 jailbreak sites around. You'll find all you need to know
