Hey everyone,

First here is system specs.

Motherboard: Gigabyte X58-UD7 Latest BIOS

Cpu: Intel Core I7 920 D0 stock clocks

Ram: 8 GBs DDR3 1333 Mhz

Samsung 850 SSD 250 GB

2 WD 1 TB Drives

OS Windows 10 Home 64 Bit / Linux Mint 18

Sound: Logitech G430 headset and Realtek Internal Sound

So my problem is whenever I go to open a program and make the computer work at all any sound or even mouse movement stutters as its trying to open said program or even load a web page. Im thinking it may be CPU related but wanted another opinion. I have tried different hard drives and ram but still the same. A reboot fixes it for a minute or so but it immediately comes back. Happens in linux aswell.  But this being said I can convert a avi file to dvd and nothing stutters

I have also tried aida64 for a solid 8 hours and nothing errord out so im not sure

Thanks ahead of time

nvidia graphics card? sound driver issue? auto search nvidia software?

update adobe flash?

sound driver conflicts with hardware?

heat issues?

auto update software/any software

motherboard going bad?

cpu going bad?

PS going bad?

start disconnecting hardware and stopping software until you can narrow it down. That includes both HD's.

Sorry forgot its amd HD7850. temps are nominal and it happens on a fresh install of windows after about 20 mins. It could be motherboard. It does seem to happen when accessing a certain drive. Thanks will look into that.
