Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with my computer.

Specs for reference:

MB- MSI Gaming 5 z97

CPU- Intel i5 4690k quad core

RAM- 16GB (2x8GB) HyperX Fury DDR3

GPU- Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming

PSU- EVGA SuperNova 750w

SSD- 256GB Samsung 850 EVO

HDD- 1TB WD Black

Case- Fractal Design Define R4 black windowed

Addin Card- Gigabyte wifi / Bluetooth PCIe Card

Alright, so this just started happening out of nowhere. I went to turn on my PC and it was stuck in a boot loop with code 03. I read that this may be a RAM issue so I reseated the RAM in an attempt to fix. Now I am still stuck in a loop, but the code is now 26. I have done everything I can think of. I removed the CPU and wiped off a bit of extra thermal paste, changed the RAM around into different slots, tried with only one stick installed, cleared CMOS, still nothing. I'm continuing to get the same code 26 which I know is "Early Memory Initialization" but I cannot think of anything else. Does anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate any and all help I can get! Thanks.

First, what do you mean wiped of extra thermal paste?

Second, it's RAM. Remove one stick and try to boot. Document results.

Do the same for the second stick. If one works and the other doesn't, then one is bad. If neither work, return them for some new ones. You could always borrow some from a friend to make sure new RAM would work.

Are you using anti static straps and mats?
