Obscure usb cable? (maybe unique?)

Heya guys and gals, I have a minor situation.

I was sent a review unit for a piece of security tech, that showed up without a charging cord. (image 1) The issue is between the time that the unit was shipped, and when I received it, the company folded.

The problem with getting a cord to charge the thing, is that it seems to be a unique port on it. (image 2)

Any ideas on where I can go to find a charging cord for it? (the book says it connects to USB 2.0)

Thanks again you all always get me pointed in the correct direction

Never mind. I would head down to a electronics hobby store like Radioshack (rip) and see if they have adapters for the plug since it looks like an old R/C charging port.

well, it's less obscure of a connection than you think, and it may actually be something apple invented.

they did it on their iPod shuffle for ages:

the trick is to figure out what the pinout is.

There is always guess and check, but risk damaging it.
