Think This will get cheaper?

So im looking into buying a bunch of new parts for a computer and i stumbled upon this graphics card: 

ASUS MATRIX-HD7970

So about this card I'm wondering a couple things.

 

1. Do you think that it will possible be a better deal on Black Friday? (including free gift)

2. Is it a good card for the money?

3. If not what should i buy for a comparable amount of money or cheaper that will be better or same?

2. Yup, much better bang for the buck than a Nvidia card, but read 3

That card is overpriced at the moment, you could pick up a 7970 for sub 300. The difference in performance isn't worth $100+ 

 

You also be limiting your upgrade paths (crossfire) as the card uses 3 slots.

 

I should probably sell my own Matrix and grab a cheaper 7970.

Why not just get an R9 280X? It's only 300$, and will have near-identical performance to the Matrix 7970 (since the 280X is just a cheaper 7970 GHz Edition).

They've got a pretty good price for a brand new asus card here in Aus
