Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) (I later found out the reason for this below... broken pins on the socket)I just bought a computer off of a friend with a gtx660 (asus), a Asus "Xtreme Phase" p6x580-e motherboard, a I7 930 and a Antec 500w "basiq power" powersupply. I tested the power supply and the GPU on a Core2duo 6400 and a p5nsli motherboard I had lying around and the ram came from a working computer. I tested 2 separate sticks and the seller said he did as well. We both tested every single ram slot. I also tested the computer with a BESTEC 300w I had lying around. I don't see any bulging or broken parts on the motherboard. (Yes I plugged in the 2x4 pin, 6 pin, and the 24 pin.) When I power the computer on the fans spin for a minute but then stop. It doesn't show any video or anything to my TV. No beeping or flashing lights of any kind. I'm hoping that it's just the CPU (as they are A LOT cheaper then the motherboards). I bent them back to the best of my ability, but still no cigar. There is some that are bent out of shape and I think there is one broken one.
