To act like a complete broken record, and as a moderator of another forum that has to deal with a mass amount of spambots on a daily basis there is no way to stop spambots (and human controlled spam accounts) from posting unless you only allow them after they've been moderator approved which would only increase the workload of those working behind the scenes.

 

Edit: there is also limiting the amount of time between posts, but if there's no way to limit it to new accounts then it'll be punishing the legitimate userbase as well.
