USB 3.0 and 2.0 Speed Problems

For a while now I have had problems with the speeds of my usbs. They always capped out at 7/8Mbps no matter if it was USB 2.0 or 3.0, i've just reset my PC to see if the problems would be fixed but they werent! I've made sure when I have used USB 3.0 I used the correct ports for it but still the speeds are limited. The drivers look fine and have all been installed without an issue and still its not working. Can someone please give me an idea on how to fix this? I have tried the usbs in multiple different PC's and all have been hitting speeds way above what I am receiving. Any suggestion would be appreciated, ill list my specs below.

 

CPU - X4 860K

MB - ASROCK FM2A88X Extreme 4+ 

CASE - Corsair Spec 01

What kind of device are you writing to?

 

25-30MBps is about the right speed for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 varies greatly by device, suppose to get around 600MBps at the top end.

 

Keep in mind its not uncommon for cheap flash drives to only be able to read/write at 5-6MBps.

Im writing to my Kingston SE9 G2 flash drive from a SSD. The thing is though the same usb writes at higher speeds on other pcs?

Oh yea, that is a totally legit USB drive.  You should get around 60MBps writes.

 

Do you have your USB controller's drivers installed?

Yeahs thats the weird thing, all the controller drivers are installed but still only slow speeds
