I want to spray paint the PCB of a motherboard for a video. now I was wondering. I want to use some nice automotive grade paint. but what kind should I use?

I don't recommend it but have seen it done before, the best option would be Plasti-dip as it's a rubber based coating and less aggressive compared to spray paint as it will try to bite into the PCB surface for adhesion.

Haha I know its all for fun and testing:) I really would rather not use plasi-dip though. I don't like the look and some areas that get hot would only get hotter with that, it might even melt.

The system won't be able to get hot enough to melt plasti-dip, but if you do spray paint the PCB it would be a good idea to mask off connectors, VRM's and chipsets to allow for the heatsinks to still make proper contact for cooling.

pretty sure linus did a video where they painted one. I remember the "crunch" as the pushes the GPU into the slot.
