Hi guys, I have the new X99 Strix from Asus. However, I haven't been able to get any sound coming out from any of the audio jacks.

I have tried, however, to plug it to the back of my monitor and it seems fine. I would like some help in troubleshooting this as I don't want to send this motherboard back as I need it for school work :(

Cheers

I feel your pain, try to reinstall the audio drivers for your motherboard, that should fix the issue.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

I've tried that so many times - even tried to roll back from windows10 developer to the normal one but still found nothing that could solve it :(

Which audio ports aren't working?

The front or the back?

If it is the front you may have to replug the HD audio plug and see if it works.

if it is the back and you have done a clean install of windows and drivers then it might be RMA time, but usually the back isn't designed for use with standard headphones but instead with speaker systems.

Both aren't working :( Aw man is there a way to easily restore the previous installed apps should I ever decide to do a clean install?

I did a clean install but before I did, I backed it all up on an external drive excluding programs, which I wrote a list down of to reinstall.

After the install, I restored the backup and installed the programs from the websites.
