I figured I'd make this thread to make life easier for people to give advice and feedback on your proposed system. If you add these simple answer it means we don't have to ask you all this before we can give you answers :)

1. Budget & Location

You may have listed a heap of parts that all add up to your preferred budget but it is easier if you just list the total amount you'd like to spend and the currency as well as if you'd consider going above that budget for more performance. We need the location as well because $US are different to $AUD and $CAD ect.

2. Aim

What is the system going to be used for? Web browsing, 3D work? Different systems need different levels of performance - a computer based for web browsing and office use won't handle heavy graphic design and video editing and a proper video editing system isn't good for gaming. If your aim is for gaming, please list what sort of gaming. In the same way that different usage types need different systems, you'll need a lot more power to run Far Cry 3 or Crysis 2 than you would Minecraft.

3. Monitors

How many monitors do you plan on running? Do you plan on moving to more monitors in the future? What resolution are they at too?

4. Peripherals

Do you also need to purchase peripherals such as keyboards and mice as well as monitors ect. Also please tell us if you'll need an OS such as Windows.

5. Why are you upgrading?

We ask this because you may see upgrading as the only path to solve an issue but things such as driver updates, reconfiguration or cleaning can boost performance without spending a cent.

Please copy and paste the major dot points into your thread as it makes it easier for us to give you better feedback.

Have fun and keep building :)

All black i5-6500 / GTX 1060 build

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£184.50 @ Amazon UK)

^This has significant higher clock speeds (~20% core, 10% turbo) vs the 6400, for ~£18 more it's worth it.
Motherboard: MSI B150M MORTAR Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (£64.46 @ CCL Computers)

^The H170's in your link are around £80-90 when you include VAT. Go with B150/H110 board and spend the extra pounds on your GPU.
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  (£34.51 @ CCL Computers)

^Single stick memory, you can go for 2x4GB since your mobo has 4 ram slots.
Storage: PNY CS1311 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£56.99 @ CCL Computers)

^Instead of an SSHD, it's a lot better if you start off with a 240GB ssd and then buy a 1TB hdd later.
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GAMING Video Card  (£238.99 @ Amazon UK)

^The Nitro+ 4GB RX 480 is ~£210, you're only saving ~£25-30 if you decide to stick with a 480.
Case: Cooler Master Silencio 352 MicroATX Mini Tower Case  (£53.86 @ CCL Computers)

^For the slightly higher price than the 88R, this is one's worth it. / Case overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e94Hw-szUlQ
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  (£70.97 @ Amazon UK)

^Overall better PSU than the corsair, also the RM series are now replaced by newer RMx.
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link Archer T6E AC1300 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter  (£34.99 @ Amazon UK)

^Idk, you can maybe get a ~£25 adapter that's just as good
Total: £739.27

OS: Windows 10 OEM (£25 @ Kinguin.net)

You can lower the price up to £650-ish if you get:

>cheaper wireless adapter

>h110m mobo

>cheaper case like the FD Core 1100

>a lower tier yet still decent PSU £40-55

>RX 480 instead of 1060

>i5-6400 instead of the 6500

Those parts should be good. Use http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ to pick parts instead of pasting individuals links. It would be a lot easier if you give us a budget to work around with.
