I'm going to be picking up a gtx 1060 and pairing it with an i7-2600 non-k. I'm looking at the CX450M/CX550M psu's by corsair (they are on the whitelist) and am just wondering if any non-gpu upgrade whatsoever would warrant me needing the extra 100 watts. The difference in price won't make my wallet cry but I'm unsure whether it's really necessary. Thanks in advance!

The CX450M would be fine with your system.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

is there anything wrong with the cx550m? Seems like a solid psu

Maybe I'm confusing it with the CX550 (not m), but I've heard that series is built with some dodgy parts.

In terms of wattage, I would go 550 rather than 450.

I edit my posts a lot.

The CX (non "M") doesn't come in a 450W, 550W or 650W model. The grey label CXM's are good, the green label ones are mediocre.
