Seagate HardDrive Problem

Hello i have a problem with my brothers hard drive every time he tries to open a program it always says that the program cannot find path, network or disk is missing. its done this with 2 different motherboards and has all the drivers so its not a network problem cause we don't store our games on the HUB so would this be a hard drive fail cause it seems to fix itself whenever we disconnect power and plug it back into the sata power but then fails later on the same day or the next.

It could be a problem linking shortcuts together. I assume you have tried reinstalling windows.
Have you tried making a word document on the desktop and then a shortcut for it next to it, see how long it takes for the shortcut to stop working.
