Laptops WiFi problem

I have a very strange problem. It started all yesterday about 5PM. I was downloading some stuff when I saw that the speed is going up and down. Couldnt play any online games because my ping would jump from 70 to 300 and back. It wasnt like that before yesterday 5PM. Everything was normal. 2 minutes ago I plugged in ethernet cable and there are no drops whatsoever. What eould cause this and how to fix it? 


As I said, it started to do like that only yesterday

Sounds like wifi channel interference. Try downloading a wifi channel analyzer such as inSSIDer and see what channels are congested. Then login to your router and set your wifi channel to one that is not congested. The only non overlapping channels are 1, 6, 11 for the 2.4ghz spectrum.

But WiFi on my phone is stable

you likely wont notice any speed issues or latency issues on your phone as its not as active or as fast as your laptop is.
