My Final +- 1700$ build

Hi everyone!

So I made that pc build (not IRL ) with the critics of everyone: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/dylyinyang/saved/

And on a french forum someone told me that my Watercooling CPU was useless, that my RAM was too expensive and that my SSD was useless too (I'll just boot windows and some other stuff only with it )

So is he right ? or is it ok and I can order it that way ?

Any criticism is very welcome!

And thank you!xD

everything's good aside from the water-cooling, no need for it tbh. Spend that 100$ on something else, like the i7 6700k.

Then if I take it, what CPU cooler should I get with it ?

Is it THAT overkill for a water cooling ?

Your SSD isn't useless. It's read and write speeds are faster than a hard drive's so it will make a good boot drive. In fact, i suggest ditching the HDD and just using an SSD. Do you really need 1 TB?, if not, i suggest sacrificing some storage for some speed. An M.2 SSD to boot from would also be a neat idea.

I knew it would be useful for booting! I want a HDD to dump all my stuff and I don't really want to store everything on a SSD because I heard ( Linus ) that SSDs have a shorter life time than HDD and the more it is used, the faster its perfomance will decrease and die. and finally yes I "need" 1 TB since I download alot ( games ) And I already reached 500 MB with a very limited laptop.

M.2: Sorry what :D ? Example ?

you have never heard of M.2? An M.2 SSD is a card, a bit bigger than a stick of gum that plugs into an M.2 slot on the motherboard. It's A LOT faster than a standard 2.5'' SSD. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820147466

It depends. Do you plan on overclocking?

the GPU ? yeah

The cpu ? no... But I'm always worried about heat. I really don't mind spending 80$ on a cpu cooler to be sure I doesn't go high ( you know games and stuff, maybe animating ) and a water cooling cpu looks fancy

Well is it that badly overkill ?

But it would be nice to get some cash back :)

dang it, I'll just go with something cheaper I guess but still with a marge of security like this maybe http://pcpartpicker.com/product/w37wrH/corsair-cpu-cooler-h55

eh. i know i said i wasn't an expert, but i've heard that's not very good, and that air coolers are actually better than those.

i actually planned a build using an H90, which is a bigger version of that, and when i started a thread about my build, they told me to go with an air cooler instead.

looks cool, although that looks like it might disturb airflow through your case considering that the fan is pointing upward. maybe look at something like a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&cm_re=hyper_212_evo-_-35-103-099-_-Product or a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=13C-001F-00004
