Trying To Save a file but it won't let me save (SOLVED)

start your text editor as an administrator, then try to save the file?

i am trying to edit and save a .cfg file but when i click save, it takes me to the folder where the application is in and when i click save, it tells me that file already exists and if i want to overwrite it. i clicked yes but then i get a message saying "access is denied" any possible fixes?
