New graphics card

Hi guys I'm trying to decide between a NVidia gtx 960 and a gtx 1060 and a RX480 and I'm not sure which one to get because I only have $323 to spend on a GPU were I sold my R9 290 any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

a 960 would be a step back and a rx 480 performs slightly worse

I'd probably grab the 1060. Don't get a 960, though.
If you a really considering the 960, get the 480 instead.

Thank you guys so much for the help its greatly appreciated and I have one more quick question would it be best to go with the founders edtion or a custom cooler like the gigabyte or EVGA thanks again Guys.

I would go for a custom cooler, you might get better speeds and better cooling.
