How to install Microsoft visual c++?

I've been trying to install this (visual c++ 2010), but after the installation finish there's just nothing, I don't know where the file saved and I can't find it even with search bar on the start.

I'm using windows 7 home basic and trying to install microsoft visual c++ 2010. I need this for assignment.

Please help.

I believe you need a version of Visual Studio. Visual c++ is not the IDE, you don't write code in it, it is literally just the library, compiler, etc.

You will need to install visual c++ 2010 and Visual Studio. Link for Visual Studio is below and I'm guessing you have already installed visual c++ 2010.

You won't be able to find visual c++ 2010 as a program, as it is a compiler and libraries for Visual studio.
