Hey my friend needs a new GPU and his budget is around 220€, what do you suggest?  ( shopping in germany at Mindfacotory.de)

Stretch a little and get this.

I can't read that site but I sure know how to use the search function, lol.

Let me know if there's anything wrong with the item in the link.

well you can get a r9 380x close to the RX 480 4GB but costs way less in that online store

XFX Version: http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/4096MB-XFX-Radeon-R9-380X-Double-Dissipation-Black-Edition-OC-Aktiv-PCIe_1021833.html

PowerColor Version: http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/4096MB-PowerColor-Radeon-R9-380X-PCS--MYST-Edition-V2-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16_1060588.html

but id say get the RX 480 or 470 since those are much more energy efficient and in Germany power is expensive.

if you care about raw power and not energy efficiency then 380x. if you want an energy efficient PC then go for the 470 but the 470 will be weaker than the 380x

not really since the 480 is slightly behind a 390 and a 380x is pretty close to a 390. id say a 380x is just barely behind a 480

No, not really. 390 is over 50% more powerful and with recent updates the 480 is 5-10% ahead of the 390.

RX 480 that I posted is just €20 more and you get 15% performance increase compare to RX470.

That's not even 2 hours of work or if he's a student or something, I'm pretty sure he can ask €20 from his parents.

RX480 is like the sweet spot for now and can easily last you a couple of years.
