Special server connector

cuypie

Hello,

I got my hands on a used server which was connected in cluster. The only IO on there is this (See Image). Does anyone know how this connector is called or where I can buy cables to connect the server to a display and keyboard?

Thanks!

I guess that it's a stack connector, the same type that you will find on network switches that can be connected together. You probably won't find any adapter for this one. I mean, a lot of the server stuff is proprietary and not designed for any home use. Those servers are optimized to work in the given configuration.

exactly like you saying its a cluster server aka it connects to a main chassis and external I/O available on the server, if you did not get the host chassis your out of luck buddy

Could you post more pictures? Tyco makes security and fire alarm equipment.

What about tyco? This is a blade server, not a fire alarm.

Right, but I'm curious to find out why this server would be made by Tyco.

The connector is made by tyco, just like some connectors are made by foxconn

The others are correct this is a blade connector in which it connects to a back panel of a larger unit. You would need the housing unit in order to use this blade.
