Anyone got any idea on the update for this?

I'm tired of using 2 different versions of this program to control my case lighting. I use it to control my Z170 Hero Alpha mobo, case lighting and my Strix 1080's.

I'm tired of waiting on an update that seems to never get any news about it. I've tried contacting Asus support, and got basically "There working on it". It's been 2 months Asus. Don't sell RGB capable motherboards and GPU's then ask the end user to install 2 instances of the same software to control them all. I've always enjoyed my Asus motherboards, but 2 months in and they still can't figure out how to make a Z170 Aura program that can control all my lighting.

They already have it for x99, Paul of Pauls Hardware mentioned it in his Asus x99 Deluxe 2 motherboard review. Just not for Z170.

Anyone heard anything about it?

Are you able to do the CPU temp based lighting yet?  That seems like a pretty cool feature of the RGB boards.

My post is more specifically about the Strix GPU lighting being controlled by it's own instance of Aura, and the motherboard/case lighting being controlled by it's own version of Aura.

Individually, both work just fine for everything. I would just prefer to control them all at the same time. Not launch 2 programs to make changes.

Since I'm fortunate enough to own a Asus x99 deluxe 2 mobo, it's Aura program can control the case lighting, mobo lighting and my strix cards just fine.  Not my skylake machine though, it gets to derp.

I'm almost tempted to just make my skylake machine do everything that my x99 machine does so I can control my lighting. At least when I tried a strip of my cablemod LEDS in it, the white looked really nice with the color cycle.

Side note: When I'm gaming, I've got MSI afterburner and HWmonitor up on my other screen to monitor temps.

I did the case lighting to annoy my friends when they're over. But I've grown to like it.

It may be the herpes of the PC industry (according to Linus) but I don't mind it.

I just wish 1 instance of Aura could control it all. Asus claims it's for those who have the Strix card only. When asked about the those with asus motherboard and gpu's the support rep I was talking to just disappeared and I was transferred to someone else.
